I love this character recipe. I think Jo really captures Myers' character, Big Joe, and her recipe writing even has a clear voice when you read it. Jo is quite entertaining with this recipe.
ReplyDeleteBig Joe appears in the collection more than once and the character traits depicted in this recipe are clearly evident in the stories.
This is a good activity for students and helps them with character analysis. As an extension, I would have Jo or any student, find details in the story that support these chosen character traits.
